Root canal treatments
Root canal treatment relieves pain and saves the tooth. Every treatment here is done by a specialist, under an operating microscope.
Why a tooth needs a root canal
Inside each tooth is soft nerve tissue. It can become infected through deep decay, repeated dental work on the same tooth, or a crack or chip. Infected nerve tissue causes pain and, left alone, infection of the bone around the root.
Signs include pain, sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers, tenderness when you bite, a darkening tooth, and swelling or tenderness in the gum nearby. Sometimes there are no symptoms at all.
In a root canal treatment the infected tissue is removed, the canals are cleaned and shaped, and the tooth is sealed so it can heal.

Microscopic root canal treatment
The operating microscope from Carl Zeiss, Germany, magnifies the tooth up to 25 times. Dr. Vinod can find and treat canals and problems that cannot be seen with the naked eye, while removing as little healthy tooth as possible. We use the microscope for every root canal treatment.
- Better long-term success
- More precise treatment
- More of your natural tooth kept
- Quicker recovery and less pain afterwards
Single-visit root canal
Most root canal treatments here are completed in one visit. Fewer appointments mean less time in the chair, less worry, and less time off work.
Retreatment of a failed root canal
When an earlier root canal has failed, the old filling is removed, missed canals are found, and the tooth is cleaned and sealed again. More on failed root canals
Endodontic surgery
When a problem at the root tip cannot be reached through the tooth, a small procedure through the gum can treat it and keep the tooth.
